Creating an Exit Pop

Summary / TL:DR: This article will teach you how to create an exit pop creative in WMC.

Exit pops in WMC can be used when the customer is attempting to exit a promotion page. These can provide additional information to the customer about the offer. Please note that not all browsers support exit pops. 


How to Create an Exit Pop in WMC

  1. Select Create 

  2. Select Exit Pop

  3. Enter a Name for the exit pop - Naming conventions are extremely important to maintain clean and standardized information. 

  4. Define the status. The status will default to active. This can be changed to shelved. 

  5. Now you’ll build your content. There are two options for creating your exit pop: 

Visual Editor 

We are looking in to new options for the visual editor, so please do not use at this time.

Code

You will need to select a template first. The basic template is simply a blank template you can use if you’re starting from scratch. Custom templates can be created and stored ahead of time. Custom templates can be created under the “More” menu in the left navigation bar. This will depend on your affiliates setup in WMC. This can be used to build your content using coding languages like HTML, CSS or JavaScript. 

 

Links

Adds a link to where the customer will go after clicking on the link in the ad

 

Forms

This section is for Lead Gen only. Please do not use on order forms.

 

Snippets

Reusable code that can be stored ahead and applied to content in WMC.

 

Conditional Content

Display different content based on conditions.

 

Data Placeholders

Include information specific to the customer, creative, effort, or journey to personalize content.

 

Media Library

Add images or content from the shared media library.

6. Once you’ve added your content, select Save to add the content. 
7. Add tags as necessary. 
8. Click Save to add the exit pop. 
9. If your creative is ready to be used, make sure you publish it so it can be added to the journey.
