Anyone managing testing groups knows that things change and sometimes you don't decide to set up a testing group until many efforts have already been running for a while. You end up needing to move many efforts into a testing group after the fact. When moving efforts one-by-one isn't practical, the bulk tool for adding efforts to testing groups is very handy. Follow the steps below to bulk add efforts to a testing group.Â
The bulk tool for testing groups is available on schedules to users with both the 'Testing Group' permission and the 'Create & Edit Efforts' permission.Â
How to Bulk Add Efforts to a Testing Group
- From the effort listing screen select  from the reports menu
- On the testing groups page locate the efforts you want to assign to a testing group on a schedule. Filter down as needed to make it easier to find your target efforts.Â
- Add the 'Testing Group' column to your schedule.
- Click to the right of the 'Testing Group' column title.
- Once the icon is clicked, you'll notice check boxes in the testing group cell in each effort row. Check off the efforts you want in your testing group.Â
- With at least one effort checked, the 'Assign Testing Group' button will appear above your schedule.Â
- Click to bring up the bulk tool wizard. You'll be able to browse, search, and filter active testing groups. Choose a testing group by clicking the Select icon to the right.Â
- On the next page in the wizard, select the subgroup these efforts should go into and click . You can also click back to the previous page if needed.Â
- The page will confirm that your efforts have been added.Â
Remember when bulk assigning efforts to testing groups, be sure to keep your test validity in mind and add efforts to each subgroup evenly.Â
