IRIS Adding Efforts to a Testing Group
- Tony Browne (Unlicensed)
As you create efforts, you’ll be able to easily add them to testing groups as part of the regular effort creation workflow. No special permissions are needed here. Anyone who's able to create efforts will be able to add their efforts to a testing group. You'll likely do this many times over different lists, each time setting these efforts up in their own multivariate groups. Here's how you'd get the efforts for this first A/B split to show up in your new testing group.
How to Add Efforts to a Testing Group
From the Effort Listing page select the effort you would like to update the testing group for and select <edit button>
At the bottom of the effort using the promo Check the Testing Group box in the Options section:
The Testing group drop downs will appear, complete the following fields:
Testing Group 1 The name of the Testing Group the effort is being added to. Sub Testing Group 1 The name of the sub testing group the effort is being added to. Click the blue plus button next to the testing group fields on the effort to assign it to an additional group. Select the 'Control’ in the Sub Testing Group 1 field
Click
Once you create those efforts with the testing groups and subgroups selected, they’ll show up in the Testing Group report along with their statistics. As the numbers roll in, they’ll keep updating in Testing Groups. You can add as many efforts as you’d like to each testing group to get started and can continue to add more efforts over time as needed in order to determine a winner. Keep in mind your testing fundamentals as you're adding efforts to make sure you're maintaining test validity.
