IRIS Moving & Copying Efforts in Testing Groups
- Tony Browne (Unlicensed)
In addition to the bulk assign tool available on schedules, IRIS also provides a tool that allows you to move and copy efforts between testing groups from within the testing group report. This can be useful for fixing mistakes when efforts end up in the wrong subgroups or testing groups altogether. It's also helpful for isolating efforts you know are in one testing group and need to be in an other as well.
Let's say you're trying to assign four efforts from two multivariate tests to the 'ABC Copy - Traditional vs Edgy' testing group. One effort from each multivariate test uses the traditional promo and should go into the 'Traditional (Control)' subgroup, while the other effort from each multivariate test uses the edgy promo and should go into the 'Edgy (Test)' subgroup. But, mistakes happen and all of the efforts end up in the 'Traditional (Control)' subgroup. No sweat. Here's how to use the move/copy tool to easily clean this up without needing to edit each effort:
How to Move and Copy Efforts in a Testing Group
- Use the cursor to hover over  in the header, then, select  from the dropdown menu.
- Select a Testing Group
- Click  to expand the the subgroup so you can see the efforts included in it.Â
Once an effort is checked, the  will appear above the testing group table.
Upon cursor-hover of the 'Move/Copy' button details will appear showing the things a user can/cannot do with the function.Click to open the popup select the testing group you would like to Move/Copy
You can search and filter to locate your testing group.
After selecting the testing group in the pop up, select the destination subgroup for the efforts and then click Move.
The Copy option is available here as well if that's appropriate for what you need to accomplish.Â
- Once you've clicked Move, the page will confirm that your efforts using the selected promo are in their rightful place in the new subgroup.
