Momentum/Sparkpost Adapter Setup
Summary / TL:DR: An adapter contains the configuration that will be used when sending email through Blueshift. We will mainly be setting up Momentum and Sparkpost adapters.
Before proceeding with setting up an adapter in Blueshift, make sure you have access to the Blueshift instance the adapter will be setup in. In addition to this make sure you have access to the Box folder that contains the adapter information.
Make sure Devliverability knows about every adapter we setup.
Step-by-step instructions
First navigate to the affiliate instance of Blueshift
Click on this gear box in the upper right hand corner then select Channels
Select the Channel that will be configured
Copy and paste the fields from the box file to the form fields of the selected Channel
Save the adapter
Make sure the "Bypass Suppression List" box is checked.
The Whitelabel host name (CNAME) needs to be registered with Blueshift if it is not already being used by an existing adapter. A CNAME is synonymous with click tracking in Message Central.
- Send an email to support@blueshift.com with "Register CNAME" as the subject that includes the CNAME's that need to be registered. Make sure to include the affiliate instance each one is for.
Confirm the adapter is ready to use by sending yourself a test email using this adapter and clicking one of the links to ensure the event tracking has been set up: Navigate to an email template (one that has been used in a campaign already) > Click test send > Select advanced settings > Select the adapter that was just setup > Send yourself a test email
- If you receive the test email this means the adapter is ready to use. If you do not receive it make sure the configuration is correct. If it is then reach out to the Deliverability team to confirm everything has been setup correctly.
- When clicking on a link make sure it resolves correctly, using the event tracking domain (CNAME) that was setup
Box folder columns should indicate what columns should be pasted in the adapter setup page
