IRIS Adding and Sharing Results

Once you've got some efforts set up in your testing group and data starts rolling in, you'll get a sense of how your test will shake out and can begin documenting your findings. IRIS allows you to do this and then share your results with other members of your team.  Since adding and sharing results requires editing a testing group, you'll need to have the 'Testing Group' permission to use these features.

How to Add Results

  1. From the Testing Groups listing page click
  2. Select
  3. The Testing Group dialog box will appear, scroll to the bottom and complete the following fields:

ResultsEnter any observations or conclusions you've come to about your test here.

  4. Click

You can document early reactions, or wait until the test is deemed 'complete' and fill out results then. Typically, teams will at least want to declare a winner and indicate the date this determination was made. Some teams like to note the total orders for each subgroup on that date to support the decision. You could go further and document any trends within the overall results. For example, it might have been the case that the traditional promo won overall, but you noticed that the edgy promo did in fact win to your less risk-averse lists. You could decide based on this to use the edgy promo as the control for those lists and the traditional promo as the control for your other lists.

How to Share Results

To share results with other members of your team, click in to your testing group's page, and use the Share Results option in upper right corner. Here you'll get a preview of the Description and Results fields for the group and a chance to add your own comments before sending out an email to whomever you'd like to share your test results with. The Download feature available in the  menu on each testing group allows you to export your testing group data to a spreadsheet. This feature is available to all users in the system, so results can be shared by emailing the downloaded spreadsheet as an alternative to the Share Results tool.
