Use these instructions when adding a new Abandon Email series. This allows you to send multiple individual abandon emails in a sequence:  

How to Add a New Abandon Email Series

1. Hover over

    to start.  

2. Enter a Name for the Abandon Email
3. Select an Item:

4. Select Email as the Creative Type:

5. In the Details section, the Email Function is Abandon Email

6. Select a Default Page, Copywriter and Tags as applicable, continue to the Content section:
   
   

   7. In the Content section select

   Abandon Email 1	Select the initial active abandon email
   Delay after Email 1	Amount of time that has to pass before the next email is sent in the series
   Abandon Email 2	Select the followup active abandon email An unsubscribe link is required.
   Valid Lead Time	Enter the amount of time a customer must spend on a page in order to qualify for this email.
   Delay after Abandon	Enter the amount of time that IRIS will wait before sending the abandon email.

   Please remember to place an unsubscribe link in all of your abandon email creatives. Any email considered “commercial” (i.e. asks for money) that is delivered without an unsubscribe link can subject the offending organization to a fine of $42,000 USD, per email. The link will unsubscribe the customer from receiving any abandon email associated with the specific item. When a customer clicks the link, a flag is produced in IRIS indicating that the customer shouldn’t receive any abandon emails. The unsubscribe link will only unsubscribe customers from abandon emails, it will not unsubscribe customers from Message Central mailings from the associated list.
