Summary / TL:DR: This article will show you how to set up choices for a package in Advantage.
Packages are a bundle of products used to link multiple subscriptions, items, agreements, etc. Â Setting up a package starts with Support creating an item. It is important to note that every part of the package must have a choice created for it. Â Once the item is setup, use these instructions to create the package choices.
All the choices used in the package should have the same name, which generally will be the price.Â
How to Add Package Choices
Navigate to Products on the ribbon
Click the Add Icon
The Item Choice Maintenance box will appear. Complete the following fields:
Timing between billing charges is not to exceed 1 year between charges. This includes, but is not limited automatic renewal or installments. For example, if offering a 2 year option for a subscription or agreement, this option cannot be offered with a renewal flag of ‘C’ on automatic renew as the timing of between charges would be over 1 year.
Item Number* | Enter the Item Number of the package. |
Item Choice* | Enter the Item Choice of the Package. This is generally the price. |
Description | Enter a description of the package. |
Valid Until* | Select a date this package is valid until. |
4. Complete any other fields as applicable and click Next
5. Navigate to Subscriptions on the ribbon
6. Click the Add Icon
7. The Subscription Choice Maintenance box will appear. Complete the following fields:
Publication Code* | Enter the Publication Code of the Subscription Choice. |
Sub Choice* | Enter the Sub Choice of the Subscription Choice. |
Valid Until* | Select a date this subscription is valid until. |
Send Renewal Notice* | Select the Renewal Flag for the subscription. |
Delivery Code* | Select the Delivery Code of the subscription. |
8. Complete any other fields as applicable and click Next
9. Click OK
10. Once finished adding the subscription choices, navigate to Promotional Offers
11. Click the Add Icon
12. The Promotion Offer screen will appear. Enter an Offer Code
13. Click Enter
14. In the Offer Details section, complete the following fields:
Description | Enter a description of the Offer. |
Publication | Enter the Publication Code. |
Premium Set | Select any Premium Sets associated with the offer. |
Credit Policy ID* | Select the Credit Policy Identification. |
15. Select the Promotion Item tab
16. Click the Add Icon
17. The Promotion Items Setup-up dialog box will appear. Select Save Settings
18. The Promotion Item Maintenance box will appear. Complete the following fields:
Item Number* | Enter the Item Number. |
Promotion Choice* | Enter the Promotion Choice |
19. Click OK
20. A dialog box will appear, select Yes
21. The Package Offer Setup dialog box will appear. Click Finish
