Cancel a Subscription

This article will show you how to cancel a subscription in its entirety from Advantage.

These instructions require you to have a control group open.


How to Cancel a Subscription

  1. From the Customer Service ribbon, navigate to Customer Activity

  2. Select the subscription you want to update and then select Subscription Modification

  3. The Choose Modification Operation box will appear, enter CUS for Customer Request Cancel and click OK

  4. The Customer Cancel Modification dialog box will appear, click Next

  5. Complete the following fields:

Service Reason

Enter the Service Reason.

Issues to Credit

Make any necessary adjustments.

Note
This can be locked down so that only certain people can override the issues to credit. This will need to be setup with the Advantage team. 

Apply to Order

Make any necessary adjustments.

6. Click OK
7. The Order Recap Display will appear, click Close

Note
The list of cancellation reasons that display can vary based on the owning organization associated with the subscription. If changes to the list of reasons need to be made, submit a ticket for support.

Warning
In some cases, customer service is cancelling to upgrade or switch the service and they do not want the letter to update. In these cases, the agent should use one of the following reasons as they do NOT generate the letter:

C-UPG - To be used for upgrades

XOPS - One off scenarios in which cancel letters are not desired
