How to Create a Subscription Choice

  2. Click the Add Icon

  3. The Subscription Choice Maintenance dialog box will appear. Complete the following fields:

Timing between billing charges is not to exceed 1 year between charges. This includes, but is not limited automatic renewal or installments.  For example, if offering a 2 year option for a subscription or agreement, this option cannot be offered with a renewal flag of ‘C’ on automatic renew as the timing of between charges would be over 1 year.

Publication Code*

Enter the item number assigned to a circulation, or subscription, item.

Sub Choice*

Enter the unique identifier that ideally would indicate the subscription price, duration, and renewal for the subscription choice. Up to 6 characters.

Example: 2YR149 = 2 year subscription for $149

2AR149 = 2 year auto renew subscription for $149

Subscription Type

Enter offers that include multiple levels to identify levels of a subscription. For example, if a subscription can be lifetime or not, it may be blank for regular subscribers but LIFE for lifetime customers. This is often used by affiliates to grant or restrict content on websites.

Choice Description

Enter a free form text field where additional detail about the subscription can be added. Used in reporting.

Example: FST - CAP & CRISIS 2 YR $109
