Permissioning Qlikview/Qliksense Access

Summary / TL:DR: This article will go over what AD groups and steps that need to be done to give a user access to Qlikview and/or Qliksense.

Does the User have an AD account with us? If not, send the reporter a new hire form. If a user already has access to the listed groups, confirm that information in the ticket.


How to give access to QlikView

  1. If the user does have an account, check which affiliate the user is a part of.

    1. Add the user to Qlikview User’s AD group and their affiliate specific Qlikview AD group (ie: Qlikview Money Map Press)

    2. If the user is a part of the listed affiliates (Investor Place, Beacon Street, Legacy, Palm Beach, Stansberry Research). They only need access to Qlikview S&A.

  2. Update the ticket with the groups that were added to the User(s). Provide the users name and Saml/ NT account name.
    EX: Clyde Tatum – NT login (Ctatum)

  3. Send the ticket to the Customer success Team with the NT login name. On their side they can finish providing access if access was not already provided.


How to give access to QlikSense

  1. If the user does have an account, check which affiliate the user is a part of.

    1. Add the user to Qlikview User’s and Qlikview Portfolio Tracker AD group

    2. If the user is a part of the listed affiliates (Investor Place, Beacon Street, Legacy, Palm Beach, Stansberry Research). They only need access to Qlikview S&A and Qlikview Portfolio Tracker

  2. Update the ticket with the groups that were added to the User(s). Provide the users name and Saml/ NT account name.
    EX: Clyde Tatum – NT login (Ctatum)

  3. Send the ticket to the Customer success Team with the NT login name. On their side they can finish providing access if access was not already provided.
