Summary / TL:DR: This article will introduce you to Yubikey. You will learn how to setup a Yubikey, use it to authenticate your login attempt, and how to manage multi-factor authentication factors.


Using Yubikey


Adding a Yubico Hardware Device with WebAuthn

Note: This method will work for both the YubiKey 5 series and the Yubico Security Key series.

  1. In the top-right corner of your OneLogin portal, click on your name, then click on Profile.

     

  2. Click on Security Factors.

     

  3. Click on Add Factor.

     

  4. From the list of available MFA devices, select YubiKey WebAuthn.

     

  5. You will see a prompt from the browser, which will differ based on which operating system and browser you are using. Follow the steps in the prompt. Write down your PIN number if you were prompted to create one. The following example is from a Windows 10 computer using Chromium Edge.

     

     

Your Yubico Hardware Device is now configured for your account.


Setting Yubikey WebAuthn as the Primary MFA Factor

Click on the 3 vertical dots for YubiKey WebAuthn, then click on Set as primary.

This will move YubiKey WebAuthn to the top of the list as the Primary factor.


Using Yubikey WebAuthn for MFA

Start by going to the OneLogin on your computer: https://agora.onelogin.com

  1. Login with your username and password.

  2. After the initial login, insert your YubiKey and follow the prompts. box, and then your OneLogin portal will automatically open.
