Summary / TL:DR: This article will introduce you to the tagging system in Blueshift to help with organization.

2 min read

Blueshift offers a folder-based tagging system to help organize your templates, shared assets, segments, and campaign resources. Your organization should discuss the most beneficial way of naming and organizing your Blueshift resources so you can quickly and efficiently find resources when you need them.

For more information please visit the Blueshift Documentation Hub.

Allowed Tags

If you define a set of allowed tags, those will be the only tags your users can select when tagging a resource. If no tags are added, this becomes an open field for your users to define on the fly.

Filtering Using Tags

Across the Blueshift UI you will be able to filter for the tags associated with your resources. Tags from one folder have no relation to tags in another folder, even if they are using the same name. When filtering tags within a single folder the UI uses an AND statement, when filtering tags across multiple folders the UI uses an OR statement. This could affect how you initially roll out tags to your instance so be sure to try a few different options to see what works best for your team.

Tag Based Campaign Restrictions

Blueshift has a feature that will allow you to restrict the segment and adapter in a campaign based on the tags that are used. You can read more about that feature here.
