Use these instructions to create an agreement auto-renew chain.
Before setting up an auto-renew chain, all of the individual choices need to be setup first. For example, if the offer is $1 for the first term, $39 for the second term and $79 for the third term and that repeats, those 3 choices need to be defined first. How To Create a Subscription Auto-Renew Chain
Navigate to Subscription Auto-Renewal Chains on the Marketing ribbon.
Clickthe Add Icon
The CIR Renewal Chain Maintenance dialog box will appear. Complete the following fields:
Publication Code*
Enter the publication code for this chain.
Renew Chain ID*
Enter a unique identifier of the chain.
Chain Type*
Select R
Description
Enter the description of the chain including the prices and term length.
Usage Comment
Use to enter a full description of the chain.
Auto-repeat last sequence in chain
If the last sequence in the chain should continue to repeat forever, check this box. If the chain should end and not renew after the last sequence, leave unchecked (not common).
Click Next to begin adding the sequences
The first sequence in the chain will be automatically added; however,there will need to be some changes to the chain though. Click Change to update the information.
The Cir Renewal Chain Sequence Maintenance dialog box will appear. Complete the following fields:
Auto-Renewal Chain Sequence Description
Enter a description for the first chain of the auto-renew.
Days Until Renewal
Enter when the customer should be charged for their next sequence.
This should generally be 5 less than the exact time frame. For instance, if this is to be a yearly charge, enter 360 rather than 365. For monthly enter 25 rather than 30.
Not all affiliates use this field. If you are not sure if your affiliate does, check with Support.
Sub Choice
Leave this blank for the first sequence.
Click OK
Click the Add Icon to add the second sequence
The Cir Renewal Chain Sequence Maintenance dialog box will appear. The chain sequence will default to 2. Complete the following fields.
Auto-Renewal Chain Sequence Description
Enter a description for the second chain of the auto-renew.
Days Until Renewal
Enter when the customer should be charged for their next sequence.
This should generally be 5 less than the exact time frame. For instance, if this is to be a yearly charge, enter 360 rather than 365. For monthly enter 25 rather than 30.

Sub Choice
Enter the subscription choice associated with the 2nd term.
Click OK
Continue to add sequences if a chain is wanted, as necessary. by following steps 8-10. If not, click OK.
Go to the Subscriptions area in the Marketing ribbon to add the chain ID to the initial choice.
Search and select the choice that is associate with the first sequence. Click Change.
In the Auto-Renew Chain ID field enter the Auto-Renew Chain ID created in step 3.
