Use these instructions when a customer would like to cancel their membership.  These instructions cancel the entire membership.  For instructions on cancelling an individual membership term, go here.

These instructions require you to have a control group open. For more on control groups, go here.



How to Cancel a Membership

  1. From the Customer Search screen click Customer Activity
  2. Select the membership you want to cancel and then select Full Membership Cancel  (also available by right click menu)
  3. The Full Member Cancel dialog box will appear, complete the following fields:

    Customer Number*Enter the Customer Number
    Membership Org*Enter the Membership Org associated with the membership.
    Service Reason*Enter the Service Reason
  4. Tab to Issues to Credit and this will fill in based on the credit policy associated with the term subscription
  5. Complete the following fields:

    Service ReasonEnter the Service Reason.
    Issues to CreditMake any necessary adjustments.
    Apply to OrderMake any necessary adjustments.

    If there is a Cancellation Fee associated with the refund policy, there are additional controls you can manage from this screen. You can check the Waive Fee box to override the fee. You can also manually apply a free based on a flat amount or percent in the Cancellation Fee box.

  6. Click OK
  7. A dialog box will appear to confirm the cancellation, select Yes
  8. The Mass Cancel Recap dialog box will appear with the cancel member order totals including the amount refunded click Close


The list of cancellation reasons that display can vary based on the owning organization associated with the subscription. If changes to the list of reasons need to be made, submit a ticket for support.
