Blueshift Auto Delivery Terminated No Credit Card Email

Send an email through Blueshift to notify a customer when an Auto Delivery* order is terminated due to an invalid credit card information.

*Auto Delivery formerly known as BCL or Book Club Membership.


Description

When no valid credit card information is found on an Auto Delivery order placed by a customer, the Advantage workflow generates an event to inform Blueshift about the action. This event then triggers a campaign in Blueshift.

Identifies a broad group of products such as books, DVD, etc.

series_code

Identifies a series of products belonging to a product class and offered within a club

quantity_ordered

The number of units the customer ordered

shipment_frequency

The number of days between shipments

next_price

The next price that will be charged for for all subsequent items in the automatic delivery series

last_status_change_date

Last status change date

proitem_number

Inventory item number used to identify the stock item

item_description

Description of stock item

card_code

Credit card type used for subscription transaction

card_number

Credit card number used for automatic delivery transaction

membership_id

Unique number that identifies the automatic delivery transaction

Setting up a Campaign

  1. Create a triggered campaign using the event ‘autodelivery_terminated_no_creditcard’.

  2. Set the condition “Skip Global Inclusion Segment Check” to “Yes”.

  3. Select the associated template for your Auto Delivery No Credit Card campaign. A sample email called 'FOR_COPY_SAMPLE autodelivery_terminated_no_creditcard Template' is available in your Blueshift Production instance.

  4. If one campaign is used for setting up a mailing for multiple publications, set the condition “User can be in the campaign journey” to “Multiple times concurrently”. This will allow you to send an email to a individual customer who cancels multiple subscriptions at different times.


Things to Consider When Planning your Migration and/or Setup

  1. Please follow the Transition Guidelines shared by the MarTech team during your Migration Planning workshop.

  2. If you have an existing Message Central Auto Delivery Terminated No Credit Card workflow on Advantage, your new Blueshift workflow has already been set up on Advantage and is ready to send events.

  3. If you never had an Auto Delivery Terminated No Credit Card workflow on Advantage, there is no longer a need to share the new campaign ID with the Advantage team during initial set up. The same event category can be used for multiple campaigns, segments, etc. without Advantage configuration support.

  4. The Auto Delivery Terminated No Credit Card workflow will account for all owning orgs associated with your Blueshift instance. Please note: additions of new owning orgs must be reported to the MarTech team so it can be added to your Blueshift instance.
