Use these instructions when setting up a mailing template. 

How to Set Up a Mailing Template

1. Navigate to the

    tab to open up the Mailings Section of IRIS.

2.  Click on

    and select 

   You do not have a valid <a href="https://apps.appf.re/me/mp/cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview">MultiExcerpt</a> app license.&nbsp; Please sign up for a free trial or purchase a license through the <a href="https://apps.appf.re/me/mp/cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview">Atlassian Marketplace</a>.

3. The Template Basics page will appear. Complete the following fields:

   

   List*	Select the list this template is associated with.
   Name*	Enter the name of the template.
   Default Reply-To Address	Enter a default reply-to address.
   Dedicated	Select whether this template is for dedicated mailings.
   Description	Enter a description of the template.
   Status	Select whether this status is active or inactive.

4. Click

5. The Build HTML Template page will appear. This page will allow you to add editable regions to your template. The benefit of this is that the person/people who create the template can choose which parts of the template would be editable, and which ones would not be. Complete the following fields:

   
   
   

   Start Template

   To Upload HTML File Select Upload HTML file Click You do not have a valid <a href="https://apps.appf.re/me/mp/cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview">MultiExcerpt</a> app license.&nbsp; Please sign up for a free trial or purchase a license through the <a href="https://apps.appf.re/me/mp/cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview">Atlassian Marketplace</a>. and browse for your file.  To Clone existing template  Select Clone existing template Select another template from the drop down menu.  To Paste in HTML Select Paste in HTML Paste the HTML Once complete, click You do not have a valid <a href="https://apps.appf.re/me/mp/cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview">MultiExcerpt</a> app license.&nbsp; Please sign up for a free trial or purchase a license through the <a href="https://apps.appf.re/me/mp/cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview">Atlassian Marketplace</a>.

   Manage Images

   Click You do not have a valid <a href="https://apps.appf.re/me/mp/cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview">MultiExcerpt</a> app license.&nbsp; Please sign up for a free trial or purchase a license through the <a href="https://apps.appf.re/me/mp/cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview">Atlassian Marketplace</a>. and select the image you would like to use.

   

   Build Template

   Build Template will present you the template from which you can define regions as “Ad” or “Editable”.

6. Click

    to save the template and

   to proceed to Build Text Template. 
7. In the dialog box, enter the static text you would like included in the plain text version of the template. You can also auto-generate a text version of your current HTML. Clicking   in the menu bar will insert "---- Generate Text Version ----". This will generate a text version of your mailing if necessary. You can also include a link to the promotion page in the text backup by clicking . 
   
8. Click

    to save the text and

    to proceed to the production view. 
9. The Production view will display a preview of your template and how it would look and function if someone were using it to setup a mailing. 
10. Click
