Screens
The customer search screen is the home page when opening advantage. From here many different functions are available to users.Â
List Frames
A screen with display columns is referred to as a list frame. List frames support the ability to customize the fields displayed and the order in which they are displayed. Â In addition, you can chose a column to sort by.
Customer Service
Marketing
To customize the columns available, go here.
To sort a column, click on the column header. To switch from ascending to descending view, click on the column header again.
All customizations are saved at the user level. These customizations will remain each time a user visits the screen until the user changes the customizations.
Scripts
Many screens within Advantage offer the ability to setup and use various scripts which control the look and feel of the screen and the field displays. For example, Order Entry, Customer Activity and Customer Search screens have available scripts. For marketing the only screen to make note of the script is the Promotions screen. This should always be NEWADD.Â
By default, a screen with scripting will default to no scripts. To set a script on a screen, simply right-click within the list frame on the screen or select the Script button if available and select a script. Once a script is set on a screen, it will always default to that script until the user changes it. For more on changing scripts go here.Â
