The options presented below are intended to help expedite the migration process from the IRIS perspective. These will allow you to switch existing IRIS efforts from OPIUM funnels to WMC journeys more efficiently. All required OPIUM content will still need to be built in WMC. |

Decide what domains you’re going to tackle – compile a list of all url nicknames associated with that domain
Take inventory of anything that doesn’t need to be moved over so you’re only moving what’s necessary
Create WMC journeys (with the SAME url nickname as in OPIUM) to replace OPIUM efforts*
Typically, the url nickname in IRIS for an OPIUM offer only references the beginning of the sales funnel. From there, links are included in the html to incorporate cross sells, upsells, dependent content, etc.
Unlike OPIUM, WMC journeys will include ALL the components of an offer
IMPT: When creating the replacement WMC journey you will want the url nickname name to match the url nickname assigned to the actual offer in IRIS BUT it should include all the components that were included in OPIUM – not just the initial offer but cross-sells, upsells, etc.

Update domains. There are two primary options for bulk updating domains:
Option 1: Edit actual domain in IRIS (manage – domains) so that it points to a WMC domain
Good option if you don’t have default domains assigned at the item level
Steps:
Edit order from url
No change to:
Name
Promotion URL
External promo url
Option 2: Edit default configuration on the item level so that it points to a WMC domain – this will update all efforts where that is the main item
Good option if you:
Have default domains assigned at the item level AND
Have 1:1 relationship between the item and domain
If you have multiple domains per item, then additional adjustments will need to be made for bulk update to be successful – and option 1 may be more ideal. Reach out to your CSP to get more information on the additional adjustments.
Steps:
Edit the default configuration on the item level so that it points to selected WMC domain
This will automatically update all efforts where that is the main item
