Customer Alert Notes, also referred to as CTM alerts, will pop-up every time any user searches and selects the account. Please reserve this to only be used in situations that are very important.

How to Create a Customer Alert Note

  1. From the Customer Service ribbon, select Notes

  2. The Customer Notes dialog box will appear.  If the customer was already selected, their notes will appear.  If the customer was not already selected, enter or search for the customer number.

  3. Click Add

  4. The Notes Detail dialog box will appear.  Under System Name, enter CTM

  5. In the note text box, enter the text for the note

  6. Click OK

Note

When the account is later selected by a user, the Customer Notes dialog box will automatically appear with the customer alert note

Once the comments have been presented the first time, they are not presented to you again during your current Advantage session.

The alert notice is displayed at the following views:

  • ARPPAY: When a payment for the customer is entered, CTM comments are displayed.

  • PROPTX: When you inquire on an order, CTM comments for the bill-to customer are displayed.

  • SVCCTM: When you select a customer after a customer name search, CTM comments are displayed.

  • MSTFST: When an order is entered, CTM comments for the bill-to customer are displayed

  • MSTMBR: When an order is entered, CTM comments for the bill-to customer are displayed

  • MBRMBR: When you inquire on a member, CTM comments for the customer are displayed.
