In order to successfully enable SMS in your refactored Blueshift instance, you will need to update your Middleware Authentication Plugin to version 1.28.14 (or higher).

This will:

Allow you to add the pubcode param to the sms form shortcode (client action needed)

  • This can be done as soon as you upgrade the plugin (regardless of whether you have migrated to your refactored Blueshift instance)

  • Required step for necessary (internal) data work for SMS migration, so should be done ASAP

Allow you to disable sending the retailer_customer_id in the event payloads (client action needed POST migration - see warning)

  • Path: Plugins --> Agora Middleware 2.x Authentication Plugin --> Integrations --> Blueshift Configuration --> Disable Email ID

  • Note: the language says "Disable Email ID" but this is actually disabling the retailer_customer_id

Note

Required POST migration:

  • Anyone who HASN’T migrated to their refactored instance of Blueshift should wait until after migration to disable this, so that setups in their existing instance are not impacted

  • Anyone who HAS already migrated to their refactored Blueshift instance and disabled retailer_customer_id (as part of their migration) can skip this part when they update to this version of the plugin
